After a session
A few gentle things that help your horse get the most from their bodywork. These are general comfort tips, not medical advice.
Offer fresh water
Make sure clean water is easy to reach after a session — many horses like a good drink once they have relaxed.
Keep it easy for a day
Light turnout or a gentle hand-walk is lovely. It is usually best to skip hard work for a day or so afterward.
Let them move freely
Time loose in the paddock lets your horse stretch, roll and settle into how they feel after the work.
Watch how they feel
A little change as the body settles can be normal. If anything seems sore or off, give it quiet time and keep an eye on it.
Call your vet with real concerns
Bodywork works alongside your veterinarian. For anything that worries you — heat, lameness, swelling or pain — please call your vet.
Keep a simple rhythm
Regular, spaced-out sessions tend to help more than one-off visits. We can help plan a rhythm that suits your horse.
